A touring bike costs €12.95 for 1 hour or €22.50 for 24 hours, while our Comfort E-bike starts at €31.50 for 1 hour or €41.50 for 24 hours. Prices vary by bike type and rental duration. The cards above show every tariff, including the price for each extra day. Two locks are included with every rental.

We recommend booking your bike online before you arrive, especially for weekends, holidays and family bikes. Choose your preferred bike, rental period and pickup location in the booking flow. Booking ahead helps you arrive ready to collect your bike and start exploring Amsterdam.

Yes. You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 48 hours before your scheduled pickup time.

Yes. One rental day is 24 hours from your pickup time. For a longer rental, select your pickup and return dates when booking; the cards above show the rate for every extra day. Bikes must be collected and returned during shop opening hours. Trekking bikes are available for rentals of 1 day and longer.

Yes. We offer children’s bikes in 20- and 24-inch sizes, plus cargo bikes with room for up to 2 children. Child seats can be added to suitable city, touring and trekking bikes. Check the available bikes and accessories when booking to choose the right option for your family.

Collect your rental bike from the A-Bike shop selected in your reservation. We have 5 locations across Amsterdam: Central Station, Vondelpark, Leidseplein, Rembrandt Square and City Center. Use “Find your nearest shop” to check locations, opening hours and directions. Return your bike to the same shop where you collected it.

Every bike rental includes two locks at no extra cost: a ring lock and a chain lock. Optional Theft & Damage cover is available when booking. Bring a valid ID card, passport or driving licence when collecting your bike, and check the selected bike’s booking page for any deposit requirements.

Please return your bike to the same A-Bike shop where you collected it. Space is limited at our shops, so returns to a different location are not possible.

Yes. Call us or send us a WhatsApp message to extend your bike rental. If your plans change while exploring Amsterdam, let our team know so we can help arrange the extra rental time.

Visit any of our 5 Amsterdam locations and we’ll repair or exchange your bike. Further away? You can have it repaired at a local bike shop. If you added Theft & Damage cover to your rental, the repair costs will be fully reimbursed.

Yes. Ask our team for a city centre map when you collect your bike. It features Amsterdam’s iconic sights to help you plan your ride. We also have maps for longer cycling routes in the surroundings of Amsterdam.

Yes, Amsterdam is a great city to explore by bike, with an extensive network of dedicated cycle lanes. Ride on the right, signal before turning and give other cyclists space. Watch for pedestrians and tram tracks, and cross rails at an angle. Take your time, follow traffic signs and enjoy the ride.

Use a bike rack or a designated bike parking facility. Amsterdam also has free municipal bike parking facilities; check the signs for local rules and time limits. Bikes parked incorrectly may be removed by the municipality. Any removal or collection costs are your responsibility and are not covered by A-Bike or your insurance.
