This year marks a decade of success for A-Bike Amsterdam! We’ve reached many milestones over the past 10 years, and we’re excited to share our journey with you.

Our story

It all began in 2014 when we opened our first bike rental store near Vondelpark. Starting with just a small office, our founder had a vision:

“To create a sustainable and accessible future where everyone can experience the freedom and joy of cycling in Europe.”

Driven by this vision, A-Bike Amsterdam is dedicated to providing high-quality bike rentals and cycling tours. We make it easy for tourists and locals to explore Amsterdam on two wheels. Our rental fleet includes comfortable city bikes, electric bikes, and bakfiets (cargo bikes), all well-maintained and regularly serviced for a safe and enjoyable ride.

Over the years, we expanded our “A-Bike” empire. We opened multiple stores, including locations near Leidseplein and Central Station, and introduced Discount Bike Rental Amsterdam. But we didn’t stop there; we also expanded internationally.

In Barcelona, we now have two stores: Bike Rental Barcelona near La Ramblas and Barcelona Rent a Bike near Plaça Catalunya. Additionally, we offer Barcelona Ciclotour, providing tours that showcase the rich history, culture, and experiences that Barcelona has to offer.

Our focus for the next 10 years

We’ve achieved a lot over the past decade, but we have even bigger goals for the future. As we look ahead to our 20th anniversary, here are the key areas we plan to focus on:

• Provide internships and training opportunities to help young people learn about history, culture, and sustainable practices.
